Hi there! My name is Madalena Sánchez Zampaulo, and I’m a translator (Spanish and Portuguese to English), writer, and the owner of Accessible Translation Solutions and Pure Language Services.

I have over a decade of experience in the language services industry, having worked as a project manager, a health care interpreter, a translator, and a small agency owner. My areas of specialization include life sciences and medicine, and I am certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) for Portuguese to English translation.

In addition to my roles as a translator and small agency owner, I have also served as ATA President (2021-2023) and as a consultant for the University of Louisville Graduate Certificate in Translation.

I grew up in a bilingual household and continued to study languages throughout my academic career. I have had the opportunity to travel and work outside the United States on several occasions. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Arts degree in Spanish with an emphasis in Linguistics from the University of Louisville.

Having started my work life as an instructor—I taught Spanish and Portuguese, both in the classroom and online, for the University of Louisville (UofL), The Ohio State University (OSU), and California State University-Fullerton (CSUF)—I now find myself returning to teaching in a different capacity. I have offered webinars, workshops, online courses, challenges, and master classes on various topics related to online presence. A lifelong learner myself, I put everything I've learned into my book, The Online Presence Roadmap: A Practical Guide to Confident Online Marketing for Translators and Interpreters, so others can learn, too.

I wanted to thank you again for the time you spent with me in our coaching session. You pointed out things I never would have spotted on my own, and I was really encouraged and motivated to hear your thoughts on the services I can provide to my clients. It was exactly what I needed to hear!

Madalena's course was superb, from start to finish. She gave an incredible detailed run-down of the steps a freelance linguist needs to take to make effective use of LinkedIn, ranging from the simple to the more complex. What I particularly liked is that, where there were two possible courses of action, Madalena talked us through the pros and cons of each, also telling us the option she personally had chosen and why.

Madalena's SEO course through Training for Translators is among the best $50 I've spent on my business in years and worth much, much more. I know a little about SEO, but have already learned a ton and we are only on Day 4. Great content + delivery.

Madalena and her team are professional and efficient, as they were flexible with our needs and the deadlines we set. They utilize highly trained and educated linguists and the work we have received is a reflection of that.

Madalena is the ultimate professional for almost any language-based task you can possibly pronounce! I enjoy her can-do attitude, she is a real problem-solver, and I hope to work with her again VERY SOON.
~ Client from a renowned publishing company

My website has only been online for 2 or 3 weeks and I have received significantly more inquiries via the website or via Google search than before. I didn't really believe it when the other course members said this, but it is actually true!
