Translator & Interpreter Website Blueprint Course - Module 3

Module 3: Selecting and Implementing Site Layout, Images, Visuals

In this module, we will be covering the design portion of this course. You will learn how to select and implement your site layout, images, and visuals. As you go through this process, I will ask you to think about various visual elements that can make a big impact and support the copy you wrote in Module 2. And just as you did with the copy, you should design your site to feel authentic to you and your personal brand while still keeping your ideal client in mind.

Download the workbook for Module 3 below, watch the video, and check in with the Course Community this week. If you are building your site from scratch, you will want to make time to watch the entire video in this module. I'll walk you through how to set up your website in Squarespace. Of course, even if you already have an existing website, the video could be beneficial to watch so you can see how I implement the concepts from this module. I have added some timestamps so you can skip to the parts of the video that will be most helpful to you or review any items that you like.

A lot of students who take this course choose to take longer than one week to complete this module, which is completely fine! A lot of thought should go into your site design. If you have any questions about this module or anything else related to the course, please contact me. I'll be happy to respond to your message within 24 hours on weekdays.

Module 3 Workbook

Course Community

The topic for this week's Community chat is to answer the questions:

What part of your website design will you work on this week? What is going to be the most challenging part of the design process for you, and how can you plan to overcome this challenge?

If you haven’t yet, please join our course Slack group. This is a great place to ask questions, share your progress, offer feedback and meet others in the course. I'll also be sharing motivation and resources there a couple of times a week, so make sure you join. It's free to set up a Slack account. Simply use the invitation I sent to your inbox or click one of the links here!
